If you care for roses properly, they will last much longer. Whether a freshly tied bouquet or preserved Infinity rose: Here you will find the best tips on how to optimally care for your roses.
Care Tips
Proper care of fresh cut roses
How to extend the shelf life of your rose bouquets:
Fresh cut
Cut the stems at an angle with a sharp, non-serrated knife – ideally immediately after unpacking. This allows the roses to absorb more water and stay fresh longer.
Use a clean vase
Use a thoroughly cleaned vase and fill it with fresh, cool water. This prevents the spread of bacteria that cause the flowers to wilt faster.
Remove leaves
Make sure that no leaves are in the water. This keeps the water clear and extends the life of the roses.
Change water daily
Fresh water significantly extends the life of your roses. This preserves the nutrients and ensures optimal water quality.
Place in a cool and shady place
Place the roses in a place without direct sunlight and away from heat sources or fruit. Heat, light and ethylene accelerate wilting – a cool place protects the flowers.
